I’m a seasoned Creative Director with over 20 years of design, and10 years of experience that excels at leading teams, mentoring, and helping to establish consistent design standards.

My professional design work on a range of products – from search engines to dating apps to finance, e-commerce, travel, and game platforms –  has given me a broad set of experiences to pull from to lead any creative team.  

At Lycos, I was hands on with designing UI/UX solutions for search engine results, entertainment and news websites, stock tracking websites like Quote.com, and dating apps like Matchmaker.  I’ve also spent many years working in online games, starting with Gamesville.com and WorldWinner.com, which involved designing e-commerce like experiences with on-boarding new users into the platform, guiding players through purchase flows, and finding the right game and tournament in which to compete.  Working at TripAdvisor.com, I worked on redesigning all of the key pages for hotels, restaurants, and things to do, as well as building out the new social features.  I’ve also been a consultant on projects ranging from e-commerce websites, to voicemail systems, to finding the right auto mechanic on Openbay.

Senior Creative Director

GSN Games

May 2015 - August 2018

Creative lead on one of the world’s top skill-gaming web and mobile platforms, WorldWinner, which is owned by Sony and AT&T.  Directing a team of UI/UX designers, graphic designers, artists, and animators. 

 

Highlights

  • Launched a reimaged version of the successful WorldWinner web skill-gaming platform on mobile for iOS and Android.

  • Managed, mentored, and grew an efficient team of 10 UI/UX designers, artists, animators, and technical artists, in Boston and San Francisco.

  • Managed outsourced creative, audio, and art production partners around the world.

  • Partnered with Rovio, Hasbro, Sony, Atari, Blue Planet, and Namco to create WorldWinner versions of Angry Birds, Scrabble, Wheel of Fortune, Centipede, Tetris, and PAC-MAN.

Lead an internal team of graphic designers, UX designers, game artists and copywriters. 

 

Highlights

  • Responsible for managing flow of marketing and ad sales requests for all of GSN.com properties.

  • Lead UX design initiatives for GSN.com, which included designing a new HTML5 mobile ready version of the WorldWinner.com skill gaming platform.

  • Helped to establish GSN’s original GSN Casino product, which has grown into one of the top casino gaming products on web and mobile.


Interaction Designer

TripAdvisor

April 2011 - December 2011

Designer working on core property websites at TripAdvisor.  

 

Highlights

  • Worked with other core designers on complete interaction and visual redesign of TripAdvisor site, which included the homepage, hotel, restaurants, and things to do listings and resulted in improved search and booking interactions.

  • Created new social activity feed and other Facebook integrations, which increased engagement across the site.


Art Director

May 2007 - April 2011

Lead design team and managed visual design of all online GSN.com and WorldWinner initiatives.

 

Highlights

  • Managed internal design team and contractors.

  • Organized user experience & competitive analysis testing to guide product enhancements and prioritization.

  • Managed analytics accounts and implementation, as well as provide data analysis.

  • Worked with partners and licensors such as Sony, Fremantle, Hasbro, and PopCap, to creative cash competition versions of their products.

Designer responsible for WorldWinner.com, games, emails, and all marketing materials.

 

Highlights

  • Changes to WorldWinner website user-flow increased registration conversions over 50% and cash player conversion over 25%.

  • Developed email templates to match partner designs that increased open and click-through rates 2.4% and 25.5% respectively.

  • Site redesign increased cash player conversion revenue over 10%.
